Background
The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) is a body corporate established under Act No.9 of 2004 (as amended in 2007, 2014 and 2016) with the objective of assisting needy and eligible Tanzania students to access loans and grants for higher education.
To register on HESLB as a loan applicant
To register to the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board website, follow the following steps;
- For Applicants who sat for Form Four Examinations conducted by NECTA in Tanzania make sure you enter your Form IV index number. Make sure you use the same number in your application for admission into higher education institution, click here to start.
- For Applicants who sat for NON-NECTA Form Four Examinations or studied overseas, enter your index number you intended to use for admission (TCU), click here to continue.
To login on HESLB as a loan applicant
In order to gain an access to login to the HESLB, you need to register first and use the given credentials for signing in. If you are a registered use, click here to login.
As a Loan Beneficiaries
A person who benefited from HESLB is obliged to obtain an account which will enable him/her to Make Payment, Get Loan Statement, and Apply For Refund. To do all these you need to register here and choose Sign-Up Type according to your need.
